Talking about other people is not very nice! Teaching our kids about not gossiping about people is very important! And, I think the most, overlooked biblical character trait that I think neglect to teach our kids. Especially when we are the one busy talking about crazy aunt Daisy or, our frustrating neighbours campfire smoke. |
I know I am always catching myself talking about people. Even though, I don't consider myself a gossip, and try to catch myself when I have this urge to start purring up a good tale, I still need to remind myself what God's word says. Many times, I have had to stop in the middle of a conversation and tell myself, right along with my kids, that where not going to talk about this person any more. Let me tell you, it humiliating!! Confessing your sin's in front of your children takes guts. But, I believe that they see that this is what it takes to be a christian mom. Life is real, and sometimes it's difficult to walk down that narrow path but, oh so worth it!! So, if your like me then check out these bible verses below to help you curb the gossip in your household. |
