Even though Valentines Day is a pagen holiday, I like to think of it as the "Day of Sharpening your Blade for Battle". It's practise for tomorrow's battle and the next day's, too. You know the battles will come but, now your blade will be sharped through the experience of loving above all else, like Jesus did, and God's word says. You can look back on how easy it was to be loving, no matter what your day looks like. If you can do it on Valentines Day, then you can do it on any day!
The Ferocious Love of a Mother
Mother's know that we don't need to wait for Valentines Day to share and show love to our kids. But, it is a great reminder to pour out a little more love on our little darling's. Those precious adorable ones who made our hearts go pitter-patter form the first moment we seen them. They made our hearts sing like nobody ever has before, or ever will after them. Even, when they stretch our patients to the limits, frustrate us like a mad dog on a chain, and the chain is the only thing holding us back from bitting their cute little bottoms, we love them, we love them to pieces. :) Mother's are like a gentle giant, fluffy, but ferocious dog with her favourite bone. You don't want anybody to touch it or take it away unless, you trust them with your life. All you want to do to your bone is to nibble and cuddle with it and treat it like your most valuable treasure. It doesn't matter which bone it is, there all your favourite. And, life would be empty without them. Even, when they don't listen to your bark, your not content until you know their guarded and protected. We can do this by sharing God's word with them. And, showing them love everyday, not just on Valentines Day. Today is a great day to start and the short and simple list below will help you.

Science Unlocks Scriptures About Love Conquering All
Dr. Caroline Leaf sent me this information in a email. If your interested in how the brain works and how that information is already in the bible then I highly recommend that you sign up for her e-mail list. Dr. Caroline sends great emails like the one below.
My Email From Dr. Caroline Leaf: How Love Effects the Brain
I am sure you have felt the effects of love before: your heart is racing, your skin is covered with Goosebumps, you can’t eat or sleep, you feel as if you don’t just walk you float…
Well, God specifically wired your brain to feel this way! Brain-imaging studies of women in love show increased activity in different areas of the brain: specifically the memory, attention and instinct circuits. Men show more activity in high-level visual processing. In fact brain circuits ‘in love” show reduced activity in the amygdala (the perceptual warning system of the brain) and the ACG (the “gear-shifter”), which combine to form the critical thinking and worry center. This means that the concern and worry buttons are switched off – so, believe it or not, science confirms love’s ability to keep us “on cloud nine”! Moreover, an actual electrical-chemical bond forms between a man and woman in love. Hence, we have the power to build each other up or tear each other down! And these electrical-chemical bonds can cause real structural changes in our brains, in both a positive or a negative direction – it’s up to us to decide what kind of bond we are going to form. Yet this biological process doesn’t stop there: love takes on a different “brain form” as you progress through your relationship, which—if not understood properly—can start creating toxic patterns in relationships. Being in love creates a positive chemical reaction that causes you to be physically healthier. A lack of love and affirmation can literally make you feel sick. Researchers are even finding that intense passionate feelings of love can provide amazingly effective pain relief. It turns out that the areas of the brain activated by intense love are the same areas that drugs use to reduce pain! Scientists are trying to deepen their understanding of these neural reward pathways so they can develop new methods for reducing pain. This gives new meaning to “love conquers all,” indeed!
We Were Created to Love: The Bible Tells Us So
This just confirms what God's word already say's. It's so encouraging to now that your faith in the word can be backed up by science, not that it matters, that why it's called faith. However, it is nice to share with non-believers the power of God's word, and have the science to back it up. Sometimes, that's what changes a person's questioning heart into a believing heart.
